NYPD seeks suspect in $2,000 burglary of Queens residential building

NEW YORK CITY — The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a burglary in Queens last month.

According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, September 14, at approximately 2:40 p.m. in the vicinity of 91st Street and 34th Avenue within the 115th Precinct. An unidentified individual gained entry to the basement of a private residential building through an unlocked door.

Once inside, the suspect accessed a laundry room vending machine, removing around $2,000 in cash and causing damage to the machine before fleeing the scene on foot. Police reported no injuries in connection to the incident.

Images of the suspect have been released by the NYPD and are available through the Deputy Commissioner of Public Information (DCPI).

Authorities are continuing to investigate and encourage anyone with information to contact police.
