Investigation Launched into Fatal Shooting in Upper Marlboro

Upper Marlboro, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department is looking into a fatal shooting last Tuesday in Upper Marlboro, which resulted in the death of 57-year-old Joseph Campbell.

On Tuesday, at approximately 8:55 a.m., police responded to a report on the 14200 block of Barenton Drive. Upon arrival, they found Campbell in a garage with gunshot injuries, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations indicate that Campbell and his alleged shooter were acquaintances. The shooter remained at the location and is cooperating with law enforcement, although no charges have been laid as authorities confer with the State’s Attorney’s Office.
