Police seek suspect in groping incident aboard C train in Manhattan

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — The NYPD is searching for a suspect accused of groping a woman aboard a southbound C train at the Central Park West and West 81st Street subway station.

According to police, the incident occurred when an unidentified male sat next to the victim and touched her thigh with his hand. Despite the victim pushing his hand away, the man reportedly persisted, placing his hand back on her thigh and squeezing. When the victim stood up, the suspect touched her buttocks before fleeing the train and escaping on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, thin build, and black hair, approximately 15 to 20 years old. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, eyeglasses, and holding a black jacket with white lettering on the back.

The NYPD is asking anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact authorities as the investigation continues.
