Lottery scratch off tickets for sale

EASTON, Md. — A man from Maryland’s Eastern Shore marked the end of his working years with an unexpected windfall, winning a $50,015 lottery prize on the same day he retired.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased his Bonus Match 5 ticket at the Easton Crown gas station, located at 301 North Washington Boulevard. The ticket, which included nine Quick Pick lines for seven draws, turned out to be a life-changing investment.

On Nov. 4, just two drawings shy of expiring, one line on the ticket matched all five numbers, securing the $50,000 top prize. The ticket also brought in an additional $15 from a separate drawing. “He woke up the next morning, checked the Lottery app, and discovered he was a top-prize winner,” according to Maryland Lottery officials.
