PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — Detectives have charged a 20-year-old man with murder in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month on Greenbelt Road, authorities announced Thursday.

Jaiden Thomas, of Silver Spring, is accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old Rasheed Davis, of Germantown, during a drug transaction on December 15, 2024.

Officers responded to the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road at approximately 10:50 p.m. that night for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Davis and another adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where Davis was later pronounced dead.
