LAUREL, MD — Police have arrested a suspect connected to the January 5 robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Laurel, tying the incident to a series of convenience store robberies in the region.

On January 5, around 3:10 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 3393 Laurel Fort Meade Road after a man dressed in all dark clothing implied he was armed and stole merchandise from behind the counter before fleeing. No weapons were displayed.

After an extensive investigation, detectives identified 33-year-old Troy Arias Coley of New Carrollton as the suspect. Coley was arrested the following day after committing another robbery at the same 7-Eleven location.
