U.S. conducts airstrikes in Somalia targeting ISIS leader

by Breaking Local News Report

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military carried out precision airstrikes in Somalia targeting a senior ISIS attack planner and other militants, according to a statement by former President Donald Trump on Saturday.

Trump announced the strikes on social media, stating that the targeted individuals were responsible for planning attacks against the U.S. and its allies. He claimed the operation eliminated the ISIS leader and multiple militants while avoiding civilian casualties.

“Our Military has targeted this ISIS Attack Planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did!” Trump wrote.

The U.S. Department of Defense has not yet released an official statement confirming the operation or providing details on the number of casualties. Somalia has been a focal point for U.S. counterterrorism operations against ISIS and al-Shabaab militants.

The strikes come amid ongoing U.S. efforts to combat terrorism in the Horn of Africa, where extremist groups continue to operate in remote regions.
