Man shot in shoulder on Philadelphia highway, drives himself to hospital

A man was shot while driving in Philadelphia, but despite his injuries, he made it to the hospital on his own as police investigate.

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. — A 25-year-old man was shot while driving on a highway in Philadelphia’s 35th District and later transported himself to the hospital, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Sparks Street at an unknown time. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his left shoulder and drove himself to Einstein Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police are holding the scene as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made, and no weapon has been recovered.
