Can You Hear Us Now? Vandals Torch New York Prison Bus

by Breaking Local News Report

VICTORY, N.Y. — New York State Police are investigating an act of vandalism targeting two prison transport buses in Cayuga County, one of which was severely damaged by fire.

Authorities received a report of the incident on February 19 after discovering the buses, contracted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), vandalized in a storage lot off State Route 370.

One bus sustained heavy fire damage to its rear section, while the other was spray-painted with the message, “can you hear us now.”

State Police are asking anyone with information to contact Troop E at 585-398-4100 as the investigation continues.

A fire-damaged prison transport bus and a cryptic message left behind have sparked a police investigation in upstate New York.
