New Rochelle 17-Year-Old Arrested for Gunpoint Robbery of Another Teen

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery that occurred Monday night on Davenport Avenue, authorities said.

The New Rochelle Police Department responded to a robbery report at approximately 8:37 p.m. on March 3. The victim told officers that a male suspect engaged him in conversation before displaying a handgun and stealing his cell phone and wallet.

Following an investigation, officers tracked the suspect to an apartment at the Harbor House Apartments on Davenport Avenue. Detectives arrested the teen without incident and recovered a .32 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun, along with the victim’s stolen property.

The suspect was arraigned virtually and is being held at Woodfield Cottage in Valhalla, facing charges related to robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police continue to investigate the case and are urging anyone with additional information to come forward.
