At about 7:00 PM on Friday, March 7, 2025, the Drug Control Unit of District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Cedric Waller, 40, of Boston on firearm charges. The arrest took place during a drug investigation in the area of 247 Woodrow Avenue.
Officers observed increased foot traffic in the vicinity and noted the building’s front door was damaged, allowing unrestricted access. They conducted surveillance and saw a male entering and leaving the building within four minutes.
Upon following the individual, officers performed a threshold inquiry due to the ongoing investigation. During a pat frisk, they discovered a firearm in the suspect’s waistband.
The firearm was identified as a Jimenez Arms Inc. with eleven rounds in the magazine, and its serial number was found to be defaced. Waller faces charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Defacement of a Firearm Serial Number, with an arraignment expected in Dorchester District Court.
