Washington, D.C. — A quiet morning in Southeast DC turned violent when a gunman opened fire on a victim before fleeing the scene, officials said.
The shooting occurred on Feb. 23 around 11:10 a.m. in the 2700 block of Jasper Street, Southeast. Officers arrived to find property damage and a victim who was not injured. Investigators said the suspect exited a residence, fired at the victim, and then ran off.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, and police have released footage in hopes of identifying the shooter.
Anyone with information is urged to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction.
