Baltimore cops investigate Belair Road shooting

BALTIMORE, MD — A 29-year-old man was shot Saturday night in the Northeast District and is recovering in stable condition as detectives work to identify the shooter.

Officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Belair Road at approximately 9:08 p.m. on May 10 following a ShotSpotter alert. Upon arrival, they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Shooting detectives take over as search for suspect begins

Northeast District Shooting detectives responded to the scene and have assumed control of the investigation. Police have not released information about a suspect or a possible motive.
