LAUREL, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Monday afternoon at a Hardee’s fast-food restaurant in Laurel.

Troopers responded at approximately 3:01 p.m. on May 12 to the location at 30759 Sussex Highway following reports of a robbery at the drive-thru window. According to investigators, a Black male suspect approached the window, brandished a firearm at an employee, and demanded cash from the register.

The employee complied with the demands, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Suspect seen driving dark-colored Honda with Maryland plates

Authorities described the suspect’s vehicle as a dark-colored Honda passenger car with Maryland registration 6DA1892 and visible damage to the driver’s side front.
