Walk-in shooting victim leads cops to Pembridge Avenue gunfire

Man walks into hospital after being shot on Pembridge Avenue in Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD — A man who showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds Saturday night told investigators he had been shot on Pembridge Avenue, police said.

The adult male arrived at the hospital around 7:43 p.m., prompting a response from Northern District patrol officers. Medical personnel treated him for apparent gunshot wounds. His condition has not been disclosed.

Detectives were able to locate the crime scene in the 4900 block of Pembridge Avenue, where evidence was collected. No arrests have been made, and the motive for the shooting remains unknown.

Police have not released the identity of the victim, and it is unclear whether he was targeted or struck in a random act of violence.
