WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Two 15-year-old boys have been arrested after allegedly robbing a 14-year-old at gunpoint in Woodbridge on Monday evening, police said.
The incident occurred around 7:11 p.m. near the intersection of Smoketown Road and Rollingwood Drive. According to the Prince William County Police Department, the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by three other juveniles. One of the suspects displayed a firearm before the group took the victim’s backpack.
Police said no property was ultimately taken, and the suspects fled the area. The victim was not injured and contacted authorities shortly after the encounter.
Responding officers located and detained two of the suspects nearby without incident. Both were identified as 15-year-old male juveniles from Woodbridge and were later charged.
Investigation ongoing as third suspect remains at large
The two juveniles are charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. They are currently being held at the Juvenile Detention Center. Their court dates are pending.
Police continue to search for the third suspect involved in the robbery. No additional descriptions have been released at this time.
