Toms River offers final chance to register for summer surfing, bodyboarding and paddleboarding camps

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Recreation is reminding residents that registration is still open for its summer Surfing, Bodyboarding, and Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Camps, held in partnership with Coastline Adventures.

The Surfing and Bodyboarding Camps will take place at Ortley Beach, while the SUP Camp will be hosted at Shelter Cove. The programs are designed to teach ocean safety, swimming, and board handling skills, along with beach games and nature exploration.

The Kids’ Bodyboarding Camps, held on Ortley Beach, are open to children ages 6 to 12 who already know how to swim. Two sessions are offered: June 30 to July 3 and August 18 to August 21. Camps run daily from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with a rain date scheduled for the Friday of each camp week.

Registration costs $260 per person per session and includes all necessary equipment. Participants are encouraged to dress for the beach and bring towels, sunscreen, snacks, and drinks.
