$5 ticket lands Somerset player $72K jackpot slice

TRENTON, NJ — A Somerset County lottery player won $72,654 on Tuesday after purchasing a $5 Fast Play Progressive ticket at a Krauser’s location in Warren Township.

The ticket, a “Casting for Cash” game, was worth 50% of the progressive jackpot, which resets and grows with each ticket sold statewide. The winning ticket was sold at Krauser’s at 67 Stirling Road.

As of Wednesday, the Fast Play Progressive jackpot was estimated at approximately $75,000.

In the Fast Play Progressive system, the percentage of the jackpot a player can win depends on the ticket’s price. A $5 ticket like Tuesday’s winner claims 50% of the jackpot. Higher-priced tickets can win up to 100%.

The Fast Play Progressive games are available at any New Jersey Lottery retailer and offer instant results.
