Baltimore, MD – Detectives in Baltimore’s Northern District have arrested Emanuel Dukes, 25, in connection with a shooting that occurred on September 17th. The incident involved a 25-year-old male victim who was shot in the 3500 block of Greenspring Avenue.

Officers were able to apprehend Dukes at the scene and recover a loaded stolen handgun that Dukes attempted to discard. The suspect was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges of Attempted First Degree Murder.

On Tuesday at approximately 10:32 p.m., members of the Western District Action Team were on patrol near the intersection of Greenspring Avenue and Druid Park Drive when they were alerted to the shooting victim. The shooter, still in the vicinity, was quickly identified and detained by detectives.

The victim was promptly transported by medics to a nearby hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound. The investigation is now under the control of the Northern District Shooting detectives, who continue to work on the case.
