Man shot during robbery attempt at baltimore gas station

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 51-year-old man was shot early Tuesday morning during a robbery attempt at a gas station in Northwest Baltimore, according to police.

Officers responded to the 4600 block of Haddon Avenue at approximately 2:37 a.m. and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment; his condition has not been disclosed.

Investigators determined that the victim was approached by an armed suspect while at a gas station in the 4600 block of Liberty Heights Avenue. The suspect reportedly demanded the victim’s property, and when the victim attempted to flee, the suspect shot him.
