Owings mills man plans waterpark trip for grandkids after $75k lottery win

BALTIMORE, MD — An Owings Mills resident secured a $75,227 prize playing the Maryland Lottery’s Racetrax game and plans to use his winnings to treat his 10 grandchildren to a weekend at an indoor waterpark and resort in Perryville.

The lucky winner placed a $1 Superfecta bet on horses 12, 7, 2, and 11 across 10 races at Euro Liquors on Reisterstown Road. His chosen horses finished in perfect order in the first race, netting him the impressive payout.

A loyal Lottery player, he frequently tries his luck with Racetrax and Pick 5, using the same five-digit license plate number for his daily straight bets. He plans to continue playing in hopes of landing the $250,000 jackpot associated with his Pick 5 combination.

This isn’t his first time sharing his Lottery fortune with family. A few years ago, he took two grandchildren to a resort and looks forward to making new memories with all 10 of his grandchildren on this upcoming trip.

Euro Liquors, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, will receive a $752.27 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling a ticket worth $10,000 or more.
