BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is searching for three individuals wanted in connection with the robbery of a 13-year-old boy in the Bronx earlier this month. The incident occurred on Friday, April 11, at approximately 6:35 p.m. near the intersection of East 166th Street and Sherman Avenue, within the confines of the 44th Precinct.
According to police, a group of unidentified males approached the young victim, punched him multiple times in the face, displayed a knife, and forcibly took his cell phone. The suspects then fled on foot southbound on Sherman Avenue. The victim did not require hospitalization.
Authorities released descriptions of the three individuals sought in connection with the assault and robbery. The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black hat, gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
The second suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, last seen in a gray sweatshirt, black coat, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.
Police release images, seek public’s help in robbery case
The third suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, black coat, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers. Surveillance images of the suspects were released by police, and they are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing. The NYPD is urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and rewards may be available for information leading to an arrest.
