MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead early Monday morning along South Kings Highway.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department responded around 5:30 a.m. to the 1000 block of South Kings Highway, where a pedestrian was discovered lying in the roadway. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim, and details about the vehicle involved remain unknown. Officers are actively investigating and collecting evidence in the area.
As part of the ongoing investigation, Kings Highway has been closed in both directions from 9th Avenue South to 13th Avenue South. Police have not indicated when the road will reopen.
