BALTIMORE, MD — A 16-year-old male was shot in the leg Tuesday morning while sitting in the backseat of a vehicle in the 500 block of West Preston Street, according to police.
Officers from the Western District responded to the scene at approximately 11:28 a.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they located the teen victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Western District Shooting detectives have taken over the investigation. No arrests have been announced, and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
