Gunman robs McDonald’s drive-thru in Brooklyn Park and escapes with cash
Brooklyn Park, MD – A McDonald’s drive-thru worker was forced to hand over cash at gunpoint Monday night after a vehicle pulled up to the window in Brooklyn Park and the driver brandished a handgun during the exchange.
The robbery unfolded around 9:30 p.m. at the fast-food restaurant in the 5000 block of Ritchie Highway. Police say the suspect demanded money, and the clerk complied by giving him cash from the register. The vehicle then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his 20s with short hair, wearing a long-sleeve black shirt. He was armed with a handgun at the time of the robbery.
Northern District officers responded quickly, but no arrests have been made. Detectives are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact them directly or provide anonymous tips through the county’s police tip line.
