White SUV found in Delaware fatal hit-and-run as investigators seek witnesses
New Castle, DE – Investigators have located the vehicle believed to be involved in a deadly hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian on South Dupont Highway earlier this week.
Detectives identified the suspect vehicle as a white Chevrolet Equinox. It was discovered unoccupied at a residence and has been secured as evidence while the investigation continues.
The fatal crash occurred on September 8 in New Castle. The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the case and is urging witnesses to come forward. Investigators are specifically asking anyone with dash camera or surveillance footage from the area at the time of the collision to assist.
