Franklin County shopper hits $200K jackpot on Cash 5 lottery ticket

Greene Township, PA – A routine visit to a Sheetz convenience store turned into a life-changing moment Friday night when a Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket sold there hit the $200,000 jackpot.

The lucky numbers—8, 10, 14, 21, and 22—matched all five balls drawn in the October 17 Pennsylvania Lottery drawing. The winning ticket was purchased at the Sheetz located at 5346 Greenvillage Road in Greene Township, Franklin County. The retailer will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.

Officials say more than 10,300 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets from the same drawing also scored prizes, though none reached the jackpot level. The winner of the $200,000 prize remains unknown, as the Pennsylvania Lottery only confirms winners after tickets are validated and prizes are claimed.

Under state lottery rules, jackpot prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date. Any Quick Cash game prizes printed on the ticket must be claimed within one year of the ticket purchase date.

The Cash 5 with Quick Cash game is one of the Pennsylvania Lottery’s draw games that allows players a chance to win instantly on the same ticket. While lower-tier prizes can be claimed at most lottery retailers, jackpot winners are urged to contact their nearest lottery office or call 1-800-692-7481 for guidance on claiming.

The Pennsylvania Lottery continues to urge players to check every ticket, every time, as thousands of winning tickets go unclaimed each year.
