Rescue partners are ready to help the 125-pound XL Bully if a foster family steps forward
JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 125-pound XL Bully with a love for people, walks and his favorite ball is looking for a foster home that can help him leave the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility and begin a new chapter.
Friends of the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility is seeking a committed foster family for Munson, an approximately 4-year-old XL Bully who was surrendered to the shelter along with two other dogs. While his former housemates have already found safety, Munson is still waiting.
According to the organization, rescue groups are willing to take Munson, but they need a foster home before they can move him out of the shelter.
Despite his size and energy, volunteers describe Munson as a dog who settles down once he’s out of his kennel. They say he walks well on a leash, enjoys exploring his surroundings and loves spending time in the exercise yard playing with his favorite ball. Staff also noted that he enjoyed a recent medicated bath.
Munson is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped.
Because of his size and needs, the organization says Munson should be placed with a family that has experience with large-breed dogs. He should be the only pet in the home and is not recommended for homes with young children.
