Lothian, MD – A Lothian home was struck by apparent gunfire Saturday night, leaving a projectile inside a bedroom but causing no injuries, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Southern District officers responded around 8:40 p.m. to the 100 block of 1st Street after receiving reports of shots fired. Police said the resident was inside a bedroom when they heard a loud noise and discovered what investigators described as an “unknown caliber projectile” on the floor.
Detectives search for evidence
Investigators conducted an extensive canvass of neighboring homes but found no additional damage or injured victims. Authorities have not identified a suspect or said where the round may have originated.
