Winning ticket sold at a Giant Eagle Market District
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Classic Lotto player struck an $8.4 million jackpot after purchasing a winning ticket at a Columbus grocery store for the July 29 drawing.
The Ohio Lottery said the jackpot-winning ticket was sold at Giant Eagle Market District, located at 3061 Kingsdale Center in Columbus.
The ticket matched all six winning numbers — 3, 8, 15, 36, 42 and 46 — to win the $8.4 million jackpot.
The odds of matching all six numbers are 1 in 13,983,816, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The ticket holder has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.
Classic Lotto jackpots start at $1 million and increase by at least $100,000 with each drawing until a jackpot-winning ticket is sold. Following the July 29 jackpot hit, the next Classic Lotto jackpot reset to $1.1 million.
Classic Lotto drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at approximately 7:05 p.m.
