Power Play ticket doubles third-tier prize

LAKE GROVE, N.Y. — A Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a Wegmans in Lake Grove for the Monday, Aug. 3 drawing.

According to the New York Lottery, the winning Power Play ticket was purchased at Wegmans, 3270 Middle Country Road.

The ticket won a $100,000 third-tier prize after the Power Play option doubled the standard $50,000 prize.

The New York Lottery did not release information about the ticket.

Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
