by Charlie Dwyer

NEW CITY, NY – Early morning on Friday, at around 1:30 a.m., patrol officers conducted a traffic stop at 40 N. Main St., New City.

The stop was initiated after observing a vehicle running a red light. Upon approaching the driver, a subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a Colt 9mm semiautomatic firearm in the center console and two loaded magazines on the passenger’s seat.

The driver, a 38-year-old male from Hollywood, FL, did not possess a valid New York firearm permit.

The individual, identified as Mr. Ordonez, now faces multiple charges, including Criminal Possession of a Firearm.

He was arraigned in Clarkstown Court, with bail set at $10,000 cash or $25,000 bond. The community is reminded that all charges are allegations, and the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
