FREEHOLD, NJ – Brian M. Dreher, a 37-year-old Brielle police officer from Brick Township, has been charged with third-degree Computer Theft.
Announced on Friday by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, the charge follows an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Professional Responsibility Unit and the Brielle Police Department.
From December 2020 to November 2023, Dreher allegedly accessed multiple law enforcement databases for personal use.
Currently suspended without pay, Dreher’s case is being handled by Assistant Prosecutor Melanie Falco.
