Gunman assaults victims in P Street armed robbery before fleeing Northwest DC scene

WASHINGTON, DC — Evening rush turned violent last Thursday when a man armed with a handgun confronted victims on P Street NW, assaulted them, and made off with their belongings before escaping, according to investigators reviewing surveillance footage.

The robbery happened around 6:10 p.m. in the unit block of P Street. Police said the suspect threatened the victims after striking them and demanded their property, which they surrendered. The suspect then fled the scene.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Tipsters are urged to call (202) 727-9099 or text 50411 but are warned not to approach the suspect.
