Armored Truck Robbery Suspect Captured After $500,000 Heist Outside Prince George’s County Bank

A Capitol Heights man has been arrested in connection with a brazen armored truck robbery in Clinton that netted more than $500,000, while investigators continue searching for additional suspects.

Prince George’s County police have arrested one of the suspects accused of stealing more than half a million dollars from an armored truck outside a bank in late 2025.

The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jerronta Bryant of Capitol Heights, was taken into custody this week following a months-long investigation by the Prince George’s County Police Department Robbery Unit.

Authorities said additional suspects remain at large, and detectives are actively working to identify and arrest those involved.

Armed Robbery Targeted Cash Delivery

The robbery occurred on Nov. 3 at approximately 8:25 a.m. in the 8800 block of Woodyard Road in Clinton.

Officers responded after receiving reports of an armed robbery involving an armored truck outside a bank.

According to investigators, multiple suspects approached the armored truck driver as he prepared to deliver cash to the bank.

The suspects allegedly stole more than $500,000 before fleeing the scene.

The driver suffered minor injuries during the robbery.

Fugitive Task Force Tracks Down Suspect

Through what police described as various investigative techniques, detectives identified Bryant as one of the individuals involved in the robbery.

On Wednesday, members of the Prince George’s County Police Department Fugitive Unit, working with the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, located Bryant in Washington, D.C.

He was arrested without incident and remains in custody pending extradition to Prince George’s County.

During the arrest, authorities recovered a firearm.

Charges Filed, More Arrests Expected

Bryant has been charged with armed robbery and related offenses.

Police have not released additional details regarding the firearm recovered during his arrest.

Investigators continue pursuing leads involving the remaining suspects and are offering a reward for information leading to additional arrests and indictments.
