Brick Township birthday bash returns with family fun and free cake

BRICK, NJ – Brick Township is ready to party this weekend as the annual Brick Birthday Bash returns to celebrate the town’s founding with a free community event full of family activities, games, and sweet treats.

What began years ago as an idea from a local elementary school student—throwing a birthday party for the town—has grown into one of Brick’s favorite annual traditions. The celebration will be held Saturday, February 21, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Recreation Gym, 270 Chambers Bridge Road.

Families can expect an afternoon packed with hands-on fun including face painting, decorate-your-own cupcakes, slime making, seashell crafts, and outdoor favorites like cornhole, giant Jenga, and Connect 4. Local organizations and businesses will also join in, offering interactive activities, giveaways, and displays.

The lineup includes appearances by Brick’s first responders from police, EMS, and fire departments—with Sparky the Fire Dog greeting kids—alongside the Environmental Commission, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Ocean University Medical Center, Municipal Utilities Authority, Brick Library, Brick Historical Society, Meals on Wheels, and Chick-fil-A.

Community spirit shines at Brick’s hometown celebration

Organizers say the event is designed to bring neighbors together in a lighthearted setting while celebrating Brick’s past, present, and future. And of course, no birthday party would be complete without a giant community cake to share before the afternoon wraps up.

• The Brick Birthday Bash is Saturday, Feb. 21 from 3–5 p.m.
• Held at the Recreation Gym, 270 Chambers Bridge Road
• Free event featuring crafts, games, local groups, and birthday cake

For families looking for an easy way to spend the afternoon, the Brick Birthday Bash promises a few hours of pure small-town fun.
