Pedestrian struck on Baltimore National Pike dies days after crash

TOWSON, Md. — A 48-year-old man struck by a vehicle along Baltimore National Pike last week has died from his injuries, authorities said Tuesday, as investigators continue to examine the circumstances of the crash.

The collision occurred Wednesday, February 4, along Baltimore National Pike near Ingleside Avenue. According to preliminary findings, a driver traveling westbound struck the pedestrian while he was in the roadway.

The victim was identified as Jarrett Ayers, 48. He was pronounced deceased Monday.

Police said the driver remained at the scene following the crash.

Detectives assigned to the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team are continuing to investigate. No additional details have been released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
