WASHINGTON, D.C. – In a significant breakthrough, detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s First District have arrested a man and a woman for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping and robbery incident in Northwest Washington, D.C.
The event unfolded on October 12th, around 12:00 p.m., near the intersection of 10th Street and Constitution Avenue, Northwest. The female suspect, identified as 27-year-old Antionette Camille Gilmore of Southeast, reportedly offered the victim a ride. During the journey, the male suspect, also present in the car, assaulted the victim and stole his belongings. While Gilmore drove around the district, the victim managed to escape the vehicle and sought refuge at the Sixth District Police Station. The male suspect, who attempted to pursue the victim, was apprehended by officers outside the station. Gilmore initially evaded capture.
On the day of the incident, an adult male from Laurel, Maryland, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and robbery. Subsequently, on Wednesday, Gilmore was apprehended by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force under a DC Superior Court arrest warrant. She faces charges of kidnapping and robbery.
