D.C. Police Hunt for Armed Suspects in Daylight Assault and Robbery

Washington, D.C. – The D.C. Metro Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects and a vehicle involved in an armed robbery that occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C., on Friday morning. This call for community support stems from a confrontation where a gun was brandished and a compressor stolen.

Around 11:44 a.m., in the 2500 block of Marion Barry Avenue, individuals exited a vehicle and approached the victim, operating a compressor for power washing. During the attempt to seize the compressor, one of the assailants drew a handgun and aimed it at the victim. The suspects succeeded in taking the compressor and subsequently escaped in their vehicle.

The involved suspects and their vehicle, a black Ford Crown Victoria with D.C. license plate NAT1744, were documented by surveillance footage. The D.C. Metro Police Department is diligently working to identify those responsible for this brave act.
