East Brunswick, NJ – The East Brunswick Police Department is currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred on Rues Lane.
At around 5:54 PM yesterday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Rues Lane and West Waverly Drive following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle. The pedestrian, identified as 61-year-old Heather Steinklein of East Brunswick, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver involved in the incident was unharmed and cooperated with authorities at the scene.
The investigation, led by Patrolman Christian Longhitano of the Special Operations Section, aims to determine the crash’s cause. As the inquiry continues, no additional details have been disclosed.
