Shooting in Moon Township Leaves One Injured

Moon Township, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early this morning in Moon Township.

At approximately 12:05 AM, emergency services were alerted to a shooting in the 200 block of Abbott Street. Upon arrival, first responders located an adult male with a gunshot wound to the lower leg. The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident and are appealing to the public for any information. Individuals with knowledge of the shooting are encouraged to contact the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. The department assures that callers have the option to remain anonymous while providing valuable information that could aid in the investigation.
