Edward Cocaine now faces felony charges after a heated lunch order turned into a criminal investigation.

BREVARD COUNTY, FL — A man identified as Edward Cocaine was arrested over the weekend after authorities say he jumped behind the counter of a Subway restaurant and pulled a knife on employees during an argument over customer service.

Key Points

  • Edward Cocaine allegedly pushed a Subway worker and brandished a knife during a dispute.
  • The incident took place inside a Brevard County Subway restaurant over the weekend.
  • Cocaine faces multiple felony charges including aggravated assault and burglary with battery.

Knife pulled during sandwich shop scuffle

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Cocaine and a friend were trying to place an order when a dispute escalated into a physical confrontation. Investigators say Cocaine became increasingly agitated with the staff, allegedly shoved an employee, and then pulled out a knife, making threatening gestures.

According to law enforcement, Cocaine entered the employee area behind the counter during the altercation. No injuries were reported, but deputies said the incident put workers and customers in fear for their safety.

Friend tried to deescalate

Officials noted that Cocaine’s friend attempted to intervene and restrain him before the situation worsened. The friend reportedly encouraged him to leave the premises, and both individuals were later identified through surveillance footage and follow-up interviews.

When questioned, Cocaine admitted to being the person captured on video and acknowledged that “pulling out a knife crossed the line,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Multiple charges filed

Cocaine was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail. He faces two counts of aggravated assault, burglary with assault or battery, and battery. The sheriff’s office said he was transported to the facility without incident.

The case is being handled by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, which has warned the public about the consequences of such behavior in the county.
