FREEHOLD, NJ – Freehold Township Police are reaching out to residents and businesses, encouraging the registration of private video surveillance systems with the SafeCam program.
This voluntary initiative aims to bolster community safety and aid in solving crimes more efficiently.
By registering, participants grant officers permission to contact them if a crime happens in the vicinity of their camera.
However, it’s essential to note that SafeCam doesn’t grant the police direct access to privately-owned camera systems.
Participants can opt out of the program anytime.
