Friday night turns violent with stabbing in D.C.’s Navy Yard

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man is wanted in connection with a stabbing that injured one person Friday evening in the Navy Yard neighborhood, according to police.

The incident happened around 8:41 p.m. on July 25 in the 1100 block of First Street Southeast. First District officers arrived to find an adult male suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be conscious and breathing.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect, and images have been released as part of the investigation.

The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. Tips can be submitted by calling (202) 727-9099 or by texting 50411.
