Gunman opens fire on Manhattan street leaving victim shot multiple times
MANHATTAN, NY — Police are searching for a gunman who allegedly opened fire during a street dispute in Manhattan, leaving a man shot multiple times before fleeing down Broadway, authorities said.
The shooting happened Tuesday, May 5, at about 6:15 p.m. outside 3613 Broadway.
According to the NYPD, a 36-year-old man was approached by an unidentified individual and the two became involved in a verbal dispute.
Investigators said the suspect then displayed a firearm and fired multiple rounds.
The victim was struck in both legs, the buttocks and the left hand, police said.
Authorities said the gunman fled the area on foot heading southbound along Broadway.
The victim survived the shooting, though his current condition has not been released.
