NEWBURGH, NY – A single lottery ticket sold at a Newburgh smoke shop is now worth 18242 dollars after hitting the top prize in Thursday’s Take 5 Midday drawing.

The New York Lottery confirmed that one top-prize winning ticket was sold for the Feb. 19 Take 5 Midday drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Smokes 4 Less, located at 59 North Plank Road in Newburgh. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn to secure the 18242 dollar prize.

Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Drawings are televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Winners of Lottery draw game prizes have up to one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

The New York Lottery reported contributing 3.6 billion dollars during fiscal year 2024-2025 to support public schools statewide, maintaining its status as North America’s largest and most profitable lottery.
