Seaport sting nets human trafficking arrest in Boston

Boston, MA – An undercover operation in the Seaport District ended with an on-the-spot arrest after investigators moved in on a suspected human trafficking operation near a busy waterfront corridor.

The arrest took place Monday near the intersection of Seaport Boulevard and Thompson Place, where detectives from the Boston Police Human Trafficking Unit worked alongside the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victims Squad. Officers from District 6 assisted during the operation.

Authorities identified the suspect as Schineider Dave Macean, 23, of West Roxbury. Investigators said he was taken into custody at the scene following the undercover investigation in the Seaport area.

Macean has been charged with human trafficking, commercial sex acts, and deriving support from prostitution. He is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court.

Investigators said the Human Trafficking Unit continues to actively examine the circumstances surrounding the case as part of a broader effort targeting exploitation crimes in the city.
