Investigation Underway After Fatal Fire in Jersey City

Jersey City, NJ – The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department are conducting an investigation into a fatal fire that took place on Thursday. Responding to a report at 4:50 a.m., emergency personnel discovered smoke emanating from a unit on the twelfth floor of a high-rise residential building at 270 Marin Boulevard. Tragically, an unresponsive male, identified as Ramon Abello, 61, of Jersey City, was found inside and later pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center shortly after 6:45 a.m.

Authorities are actively working to determine the cause of the fire, collaborating with the Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department.
