Man shot in early morning gunfire on quiet Baltimore block

Baltimore, MD — A man was wounded in an early morning shooting that brought police to a Northeast Baltimore neighborhood before sunrise.

Officers responded around 1:31 a.m. Friday to the 4000 block of Ridgecroft Road after receiving reports of gunfire.

At the scene, police located a 27-year-old male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.

Detectives from the Northeast District are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspect information has been released.
