Man struck in Temple Hills crash dies 15 months after collision

TEMPLE HILLS, MD – A Washington, D.C. man who was hit while crossing a Temple Hills roadway in October 2024 has died from his injuries more than a year later, according to Prince George’s County Police.

Kelvin Eugene Jackson, 41, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash on January 11, 2026, after spending over 15 months hospitalized. The collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. on October 24, 2024, in the 3100 block of Branch Avenue.

Investigators said Jackson was attempting to cross the roadway when a northbound vehicle struck him near the route leading toward Suitland Parkway. Responding officers found Jackson in the roadway with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a hospital, where he remained under care until his recent death.

The driver involved remained on the scene and was not injured. No charges have been announced at this time.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details about speed, lighting, or visibility conditions at the time have been released.
